Merkad also manufactures high precision “Tulip Moulds” and it’s equipment e.g. Plungers, Ring and Bottom Plates for Press machines.  Depending on engraving details and complexity,  “Tulip Moulds” can be manufactured as of 2-3 or 4 parts.
After finishing computer aided design process, product and mould splitting stages are controlled by a special simulation program.

Merkad uses high quality stainless steel materials produced with “ESR” (Electro Slag Remelting ) +  “Double forging” processes at 34-37 HRc hardness as a main material for “Tulip Moulds”, which is especially developed for glass mold production.
